We were pretty happy. He was fishing from shore and the big girl hit in about 5 feet of water. Anyways, the fish weighed 16.5 lbs. on a Berkley digital scale and was immediately released unharmed.

Story: Pulled up to a point mid day, beached the boat, and fired out the Hudd. Slowed rolled it on the bottom when I felt a "tick", set the hook; and battled a fish for about 10' before it came off. Left the point and watched it for about 15 mins. Came back, made a cast across the point from a different angle and let the bait sink to the bottom. As I slow rolled it about half way to the boat; the 5 oz Hudd started to feel like a sack of potatoes coming through the water. FISH ON:)~! Fish never jumped, never really got control; got her in the net first scoop. PERFECT! 10 ounces shy of lake record. My PB so far! She was caught at 1 PM, in March, in about 20' of water, clear water; on a dead calm day with no wind what so ever. LOL
